Review: 7 Steps to Health & The Big Diabetes Lie Is A SCAM! (Updated)

By Obinna Ossai, MD | UPDATED: November 11, 2022

7 Steps to Health & The Big Diabetes Lie by the so-called International Council For Truth in Medicine (ICTM) is nothing but a viral, long-running, unchecked scam by an identity thief! Contra Health Scam has uncovered a long list of evidence backing up this verdict and I’m 100% sure that they are more than enough to make you stay away from this product!

Formerly known as DisarmDiabetes.com, the ICTM website, according to WHOis.net, was created in January 2013 by someone from Queensland, Australia. It is hawking a 500+ page eBook that claims to have information that big pharmaceutical companies are allegedly hiding from people with diabetes. It claims to be partners with NaturalNews.com, a news website known for advocating against the use of synthetic chemicals in foodstuff and drugs.

However, don’t be deceived by the fake reviews by greedy affiliates trying to earn Clickbank commissions. The Big Diabetes Lie is a scam and below is the list of evidence:

1. ICTM Does NOT Exist!

Do a search of ICTM or ‘International Council for Truth In Medicine’ using any search engine and you’ll see that it is not a registered medical organization and is not mentioned in any authority medical portals. The only places it is mentioned are on affiliate blogs marketing The Big Diabetes Lie and the website itself.

2. The ‘Creator’ of ICTM is An Identity Thief!

‘Dr. Max Sidorov,’ the supposed founder and leader of ICTM, does NOT exist! The owner of this scam stole the identity of Max Sidorov, a 29-year-old Ukrainian-born nutritionist living in Toronto, Canada. Sidorov made headlines in 2012 after helping to raise over $700k for an old woman who was bullied by a bunch of schoolboys in a bus. This brazen scammer actually put a ‘Max in the News’ section on his website linking to the news articles, essentially claiming that he was the one who helped the old woman!

Meanwhile, the real Sidorov has profiles on Facebook and Twitter, and both do not mention ICTM or The Big Diabetes Lie.

Update December 6, 2018:

Turns out that this is not technically an identity theft after all: Two years after this review went up, Max Sidorov updated his page claiming ownership of a shady organization called ITMC (International Truth in Medicine Council), a shady, unregistered organization that pumps out scams like The Heart Disease Lie. So it’s safe to assume that Max Sidorov is indeed behind The Big Diabetes Lie too.

3. ICTM NOT Partners with NaturalNews.com

On the top of their page, you’ll see ‘in partnership with NaturalNews.com…’ proudly displayed alongside the images of the so-called ‘doctors’ of ICTM. Well, I checked at NaturalNews.com, and surprise surprise… neither The Big Diabetes Lie nor ICTM is mentioned anywhere on their site!

fake doctors, fake endorsement, fake organization

4. Fake Testimonials. Fiverr Actor Exposed!

The testimonials on the website are unverifiable and fake! ICTM gives you the option to either watch the video or read the text version … and in the video section, I caught a Fiverr Actor! Check out his Fiverr page … he even posted the fake testimonial there for you to watch!

I also believe he is the voice actor in the presentation video, as he also offers voice acting services on Fiverr.

5. Other Evidence Against The Big Diabetes Lie

Below is a list of some more evidence confirming that The Big Diabetes Lie is lie in itself!

  • Their video is hosted on YouTube, and they made sure to disable the comments so you cannot ask them questions.
  • The ICTM website contains a lot of articles that are stolen from newspapers and medical resource sites. This essentially means that whatever you find in The Big Diabetes Lie is also stolen. Use Copyscape to verify if you want.
  • On the text version of the website, the ‘Map of people we’ve helped already’ is unclickable and is not even live! If the scammer were smart, he would have known that an embedded, live map is more believable than a screenshot map.
  • While trying to leave the website, a pop-up springs up, preventing you from leaving. Then you are offered an $80 discount and put under pressure to buy the eBook.

So as you can see, The big Diabetes Lie is a complete, wicked scam, and so you should stay away from it! This garbage has been around for over two years now … and unfortunately, no one has exposed it the way it has been done here until now. Right now it is one of the most popular products on Clickbank, with a lot of affiliates promoting it in various ways online.

My aim is to put scams like these out of business, and you can help me accomplish this by spreading the word. Share this article to your friends, medical forums, and anywhere else people with diabetes are so that they will not waste their time and money reading a 500-page piece of crap created by an identity thief!

Final Recommendation: DON’T BUY The Big Diabetes Lie!

Blacklisted Website: Theictm.org

Please continue visiting your doctor and following his recommendations, as it is still the only way you can deal with diabetes right now. Also, keep praying for and supporting medical scientists who are still toiling all day and all night in search of a cure.

If you have read The Big Diabetes Lie, please share your remarks about it below so that it can help others.
