BioLeptin weight loss supplement by ‘Adam Glass’ is a ridiculous scam you should keep your distance from. This supplement tries to hype itself as a ‘discovery’ that is ‘so groundbreaking, a United Nations scientist has patented it, preventing any Big Pharmaceutical company from profiting off this discovery.’ By the time you finish reading this review, however, you’ll realize that this supplement is a worthless piece of junk that is best forgotten. So let’s get to it, shall we?
BioLeptin has been around since August 2017. It claims to be a ‘breakthrough’ weight loss supplement that is ‘the answer to re-activating your “fat burning” hormone.’ According to Glass, users of this supplement lost an average of ‘28.1 pounds’ and ‘6.7 inches off their waistlines.’ Glass tries to use the names of popular health personalities like Dr. Oz and news outlets (Fox News and Reuters) to sell his supplement. For example, he claimed that Dr. Oz called BioLeptin ‘a breakthrough supplement.’ Of course, he did not provide any proof of Oz actually saying that.
Science Behind BioLeptin
According to Mr. Glass, the reason why you’re gaining weight is that your ‘hungry hormone’ leptin is being ‘suppressed’ by what he calls ‘invisible “junk proteins” swimming in your bloodstream, right now.’ Elsewhere in his presentation, he claims that actually, one ‘rogue chemical’ binds to leptin, thereby making the brain not recognize it anymore. This results in your brain going ‘leptin-blind,’ leading to massive, uncontrolled weight gain. Glass calls this condition ‘Suppressed Leptin Syndrome (SLS)’ (which is not an official medical term, btw).
Now, what’s this ‘rogue chemical’? Drumroll…
It’s C-Reactive Protein (CRP). You know, the same protein blamed for shutting down a different hormone and causing weight gain by the scammers over at Okinawa Flat Belly Tonic.
For those who don’t know, leptin is the hormone responsible for stopping your brain from stimulating hunger. Its malfunction has been universally linked to weight gain.
Anyway, the point of BioLeptin is that all you need to lose weight is to eliminate CRP, which will then free up leptin to carry out its duties to the brain. Let’s talk more about that in the next section.
How BioLeptin Works
BioLeptin allegedly works by, of course, eliminating CRP in order to free up leptin to do its job. According to Mr. Glass, you need to follow three steps to eliminate at least ‘75% of the current CRP in your body.’ These steps include:
STEP 1: ‘Eat Breakfast At 6:24 am Every Day’
Doing this, Glass says, will help normalize your ‘circadian rhythms.’ He goes on to claim that these ‘natural rhythms of your body’ are supposedly crucial for eliminating CRP while you sleep via a process called ‘autophagy.’
STEP 2: ‘Go On The 12-Hour Diet’
Here Glass claims that going on ‘the 12-hour diet’ will significantly reduce your CRP levels by as much as 50%. He then cites a ‘study’ published by Dr. Mercola to validate his claim without providing us any link to the study he’s referring to. Not that it matters anyway…
STEP 3: ‘Eat The Seed Of This Weird Fruit’
Here, Mr. Glass claims that ‘a very specific extract’ of the seed of the African bush mango (Irvingia gabonensis IG) has been scientifically proven to reduce CRP levels ‘by 52%.’ He then goes further to claim that a study found that those given the seed extract ‘on average lost a whopping 28.1lbs, reduced overall body fat by 18.4% (that’s a FIFTH of your body fat. GONE) and watched in amazement as their waist size shrank by 6.7 [inches]!’
Of course, Mr. Glass failed to give us a link to the study in question. Rather, he opted to inform us that he spoke to the alleged author of the study (one Dr. Julius Oben) who allegedly gave them ‘the original IG supplement used in the original clinical trial.’ According to him, Dr. Oben said that ‘the IG he used in his studies are the only ones worth getting’ for weight loss.
Okay then.
Speaking about exclusive African mangoes, what are the ingredients of BioLeptin?
Ingredients of BioLeptin
The ingredients of BioLeptin include:
- Dr. Julius Oben-certified African bush mango (Irvingia gabonensis IG) extract
- Chromax ( ‘pure’ chromium): Mr. Glass claims that chromium ‘[has] been proven to DESTROY up to 68% CRP in your blood.’ Of course, he didn’t bother providing any citations to prove his claim.
How Much Does BioLeptin Cost?
One bottle of BioLeptin costs $59.95. There are two other plans:
- A 3-bottle plan for $139.95
- A 6-bottle plan for $199.95
Pay close attention to the plans above. Isn’t it weird that Mr. Glass is offering 6 bottles of his supplement for just $60 more than the 3-bottle package?
Anyway, BioLeptin comes with what Glass calls a ‘365 days money back guarantee’ but if I were you, I wouldn’t hold my breath that he’ll indeed honor his refund guarantee…
That’s it about reviewing this supplement. Now to the fun part. Why is BioLeptin a scam?
1. Author is a Pseudonym (Does NOT Exist)
Adam Glass doesn’t tell us anything about himself other than his name. There’s no information about his qualifications or the city or country where he lives. Also, he has no social media presence and there’s not even a photo of him anywhere. Now, why is that?
Now when you check the Terms and Conditions page of BioLeptin, you’ll notice the part where it was disclosed that Adam Glass is a pseudonym:
‘Privacy’ indeed.
Now, where have I seen that before?
2. BioLeptin is Owned By A Shady Company
According to Glass, BioLeptin is owned by PureGreens Nutrition Pte Ltd. But if you click on the affiliates page on the website, you’ll notice that BioLeptin is listed as part of the products of a different company called TrueGenics. This is the same company that is behind known scams Arctic Blast, Ultra Omega Burn, GRS Ultra, and Panalean. TrueGenics itself is the successor of the Success Vantage Group, a Singapore-based company that was behind even more health scams which I exposed right here on Contra Health Scam.
So believe me when I tell you that we are dealing with a shady company with an established history of selling health scams. Red flag!
3. Fake Testimonials With Stock Photos
The photos used as testimonials in BioLeptin are stock photos:
- ‘Jeffrey’, the guy who supposedly ‘lost 22 pounds of fats in just two weeks’ is just a stock photo you can buy from Adobe Stock;
- ‘Tanya’, who ‘lost 7 pounds without making any changes’, is a stock photo you can buy from Adobe Stock or Deposit Photos.
What this means is that the testimonials are fake hence, BioLeptin doesn’t work. In other words, this is an absolute sign that we’re dealing with a scam!
4. The Scientific Basis is Practically Rubbish, Unreliable
Mr. Glass blames C-reactive Protein (CRP) as the main reason why you’re gaining weight. He then linked to a Life Enhancement magazine article to prove his claim. I visited the link only to discover that it has been taken down and the article no longer exists.
Anyway, the truth is that CRP isn’t the reason why you’re gaining weight. The thing is, obese people are prone to chronic inflammation, and the liver releases CRP to fight it. CRP is a result of the excess fat activity (inflammation), not the cause of it. So reducing your CRP levels will do little to nothing to help you lose weight as it doesn’t address the main cause, which can vary from person to person.
Concerning the claims regarding African mango (Irvingia gabonensis IG), it’s indeed true that Dr. Julius Oben conducted a study that found that the seed of IG helped obese men to lose 28 pounds. WebMD also states that other smaller studies found similar results, but noted that the research is ‘poor quality.’ As an African myself, I’ll side with WebMD on this one because IG seed is widely consumed as Ogbono soup … yet we still have relatively high cases of obesity, diabetes, and high blood cholesterol.
So the scientific basis of BioLeptin is unreliable at best and rubbish at worst.
Final Conclusion: DON’T BUY BioLeptin. It is A SCAM!
Blacklisted Website: Bioleptin.com
The scammers use Paypal to sell their supplement. So if you have made the mistake of buying this product, contact PayPal to cancel the transaction or file a credit card dispute with your bank. Don’t bother asking Mr. Glass for your refund because you’ll never receive it from him! His ‘365-day money-back guarantee’ is a bunch of baloney.
