Stay far away from AppAway weight loss supplement by ‘Dr. Ross Gardner’ because it is a scam! The people behind this product went the extra mile to deceive people into thinking that they have actually stumbled upon a legitimate weight loss product but by the time you finish reading this review, you’ll be amazed by the amount of lies and manipulation that went into presenting this scam. So without wasting much of our time, let’s begin!
AppAway supplement was launched in January 2021. According to Ross, this supplement contains ‘a little known weight loss hack’ which helped him lose a total of 196 pounds and overcome binge eating ‘for the first time in my life.’ This incredible weight loss was supposedly featured on Steve Harvey’s TV show, where we see Ross ripping off his shirt to show off his impressive new physique (we’ll come back to this later).
Meanwhile, the supposed ‘hack’ which led to Ross’ incredible weight loss has to do with what he calls ‘a bizarre slimming sugar’ which makes it possible for you to eat carbs and still lose weight. Ross insists that you don’t need to give up your favorite junk foods to lose weight. All you need is just a teaspoon of this ‘slimming sugar’ daily to make the excess fat melt away for good. He also claims that if you are a woman over 35 years old, this ‘slimming sugar’ is practically your only hope if you want to win your weight ‘battle’.
Ross goes ahead to credit ’11 Nobel Prize winners’ for the discovery of the amazing slimming sugar. He claims that these scientists ‘obsessed’ over this sugar ‘for 20 years’ until they finally found a ‘breakthrough’ from a French university. Let’s get the details from the backstory, shall we?
Backstory of AppAway Supplement
Ross begins by telling us that he developed the habit of emotional eating while working at a restaurant, which ultimately led to him ballooning to almost 400 pounds. Then he proceeds to repeat part of the story he supposedly told while on the Steve Harvey show: While checking in at the airport, the flight attendant told him to purchase two tickets for himself because he was too big to fit in the standard plane seat. He had no choice but to comply and consequently had to deal with the embarrassment during the trip.
After the ‘flight from hell’, poor Ross locked himself inside his Miami hotel room and began to think long and hard about his life. Eventually, he resolved to quit his emotional binge eating habits and shed all the excess weight. So of course, he plunged himself into research, which eventually led him to discover the real cause of emotional eating (details in the science section). He also stumbled upon the incredible research about slimming sugar which was made by ’11 Nobel Prize winners’ in an unnamed ‘French Research Institute.’ He also informs us that the French lab packaged the miracle sugar and ‘patented’ it because they didn’t want to sell it to the public.
Somehow, Ross was able to convince the French lab to give him some of their slimming sugar … which he proceeds to use. Unsurprisingly, he started noticing results ‘in a few days’, eventually leading to his enormous weight loss. Afterward, he was able to convince the unnamed French lab to give him more of the slimming sugar and even let him infringe on their patent by repackaging and selling their slimming sugar as AppAway. Now he wants you to buy it.
Science Behind AppAway Supplement
According to Ross, his research led him to discover the ‘obscure’ work of a researcher named ‘Dr. Olivia Farr.’ Dr. Farr allegedly discovered that a substance in the brain called Neuropeptide Y (NPY) is the culprit behind binge eating. Ross says that NPY is the substance that ‘commands’ you to either eat or not eat – and sadly, this ‘command’ is ‘out of your control.’ In other words, you can’t stop the action of this substance.
For this reason, Ross continues, the more NPYs you have, the more you’ll binge eat and gain weight … and vice versa. He even faults NPY as being the culprit behind your craving for junk foods. He then goes ahead to quote scientists supposedly from universities like Harvard to back up his claims – but he fails to provide references to any of the studies he cites.
The summary? ‘High NPY, bad; Low NPY, GOOD.’
So what causes high NPY according to Ross?
- Emotional stress
- Body weight (‘the more the weight you carry, the more NPY you have
- Night cravings
- Restrictive diets like ‘fasting or caloric restriction’
So how to reduce NPY? Enter the ’11 Nobel Prize winners’ with their slimming sugar. According to Ross, the scientists tested the sugar on some rats in a French lab and discovered that it reduced NPY expression ‘by 25%.’ Then they conducted 4 clinical trials with 134 female participants and the result? ‘Phenomenal’ weight loss when compared to placebo. How phenomenal you may ask? Well, Ross claims that the women who got the slimming sugar lost 6.5 inches off their waist and reduced 7 inches of belly fat more than their counterparts on placebo. And they achieved this without giving up their favorite junk foods!
So in summary, AppAway is all about using this unnamed ‘slimming sugar’ to reduce NPY levels in your brain, leading to weight loss.
How Much Does it Cost?
A bottle of AppAway weight loss supplement costs $49. There are two other plans:
- 3 bottles at $39 each
- 6 bottles at $29 each
Each plan comes with what Ross calls a ‘180 days moneyback guarantee’ but if I were you, I’d get my money back within 60 days of purchase as that is the standard refund policy of the retailer Clickbank. That’s the only way (apart from a credit card dispute) that you’ll get your money back.
Now to the fun part. Why is AppAway weight loss supplement a scam?
1. ‘Dr. Ross Gardner’ is Either An Impostor or A Liar
At the beginning of the video presentation of AppAway, we are shown a clip of Steve Harvey inviting Dr. Ross Gardner on the stage to show off his new body and tell the world how he managed to lose such an incredible amount of weight and get into tremendous shape. But curiously, we were never shown the full clip of the appearance. This heightened my suspicion and so I went searching. Thankfully, I found the full video so let’s watch it!
As you can clearly hear in the video, Dr. Ross Gardner above is telling a completely different story from the one we heard from the backstory of AppAway. You can hear him clearly telling Steve Harvey that he lost weight by going to therapy to deal with his eating and other addiction issues and hitting the gym with a personal trainer. You don’t hear him talking about any ‘slimming sugar’ or discovering some ’11 Nobel Prize winners’ work in a French lab!
So what does this mean? It’s either
- We are dealing with an impostor or
- Dr. Ross Gardner is a liar and a scammer.
To be fair, I checked out the real Dr. Ross Gardner’s Facebook page, and nowhere does he mention being aware of or being behind AppAway. Another clue is that we never see Ross himself reading the AppAway script, but a voiceover actor was used instead. So I’m leaning more toward the possibility that we are dealing with an impostor.
In any case, this proves beyond any doubt that whoever is behind this product can’t be trusted!
2. Exploits Ongoing Scientific Research to Sell Scam
As we saw in the science section, Ross claims that neuropeptide Y (NPY) is the definite culprit behind binge eating and you have no control over it. Yet at the same time, he claims that you can actually mitigate the effects of NPY by taking the ‘slimming sugar’ found in his AppAway supplement. Can you spot the difference?
Anyway, it is true that scientists believe that NPY may play a role in abnormal eating behaviors observed in people with eating disorders like anorexia nervosa and bulimia. But none of the studies I found on the subject ever stated that NPY is the culprit behind binge eating. Instead, they all stressed the need for more research before any binding conclusion can be made. But just like other scammers like him, Ross is simply exploiting ongoing scientific research to sell his useless scam!
By the way, did you also notice that throughout the long video presentation, Ross never bothered to tell us what this ‘slimming sugar’ really is? If that doesn’t tell you how full of crap his supplement is, I wonder what will!
3. Employs Insane Manipulative Tactics to Sell Scam
In his presentation, Ross attempts to convince you that he’s a good guy who is definitely NOT selling you a miracle weight loss pill – even though he’s marketing it as a miracle weight loss pill. He even goes as far as blasting the peddlers of miracle weight loss supplements as ‘charlatans,’ despite the fact that he’s using the same tactics charlatans use to sell scams to the unsuspecting public. This is a level of manipulation unlike anything I’ve seen before in my years of busting these scams. Usually, his likes only attack ‘Big Pharma’ or mainstream health industries in order to make themselves look good. But the most-likely impostor Ross has taken it to another level by attacking his fellow scammers.
As the saying goes though, a leopard can never change its spots!
Final Conclusion: DON’T BUY AppAway Weight Loss Supplement. It is A SCAM!
